If you can smell gas, get everyone out of the house. If there is any immediate danger, ring 000 before you ring a plumber. Once everyone is outside, call us.
If a pipe has burst, turn the water off at the meter before you do anything else. It is usually at the front boundary, and the tap turns clockwise. Then call.
What counts as an emergency
Water you cannot stop, sewage inside or coming up outside, no water at all, or gas. A dripping tap at 9pm is not an emergency, and we would rather book it properly than charge you for an after hours call-out you did not need.
